Objectives of the Food Safety System

Implementation Program

To help make Canadian products among the safest and highest quality in the world.

To strengthen the sector’s ability to identify and respond to food safety issues.

To educate B.C. producers in a government approved on-farm food safety program (OFFS) through financial incentives.

The FSSI Program consists of two components:

The Outreach Element (Association lead)

and

Implementation Element (Farmer/Grower/Producer)

Outreach Element - No further applications will be accepted. Current applications are being reviewed.

Implementation Element - Applications are being accepted and reveiwed.

All applicants will be advised of the outcome.
